Pacy & Wheatley | Accident Statistics

Pacy and Wheatley Construction accident statistics are calculated in line with HSE methodology. i.e. accidents per 100,000 working hours and presented annually in April. These are then compared with the latest year's HSE statistics.
Significant improvements were made in 2012 as follows:
  • Safety
  • Environmental - ISO 14001
  • The number of all accidents on sites has reduced and we have again achieved a significantly lower accident incident rate than the nationals average

Pacy & Wheatley Construction | Design and Build Contractors

Design and Build Contractors

Pacy and Wheatley have over 40 years of experience as design and build contractors, providing the complete service. Since 1968 our specialist design and build team have a common purpose, coupled with an open innovative culture, with benefits far beyond traditional procurement. Design and build projects offer significantly improved quality and reduction in costs, environmental impact and defects at handover. Some of our schemes include care homes, steel framed cladded commercial warehouses and residential apartment blocks. Through our increasing use of off-site and standardisation in our mainstream activities, we assess a design and build project and provide the optimum construction solution based on project specific drivers. This delivers cost, time, quality and environmental improvements.

Off-site construction projects provides many benefits for you and your clients:

  • Improved quality and reduction in defects at handover.
  • Better process control due to standardisation.
  • Lower whole life cost.
  • Project delivery certainty and improved conformity.
  • Improved site safety, contributing to the Egan target.
  • Reduced waste and potentially lower embodied energy than site based construction.
  • Knowledge management and a sharing culture amongst the supply chain and partner organisations.
  • Access to the best independent advice from our partners "Mtech Consult", on new and existing Offsite techniques to keep ahead of the curve.

Pacy & Wheatley | Teen Tech Event

A Statement from our Site and Engineering Manager - Attila Forbauer

I have attended the event to represent Pacy&Wheatley as Construction Industry Ambassador.

The aim of the event was to get talented young people interested in engineering, construction and technology.
The event was presented by Maggie Philbin from the TV program Tomorrow's World.
We had 300 children from all over South Yorkshire with their teachers.
Each Ambassador had ten kids to look after and do activities with, throughout the day.

Pacy&Wheatley's presence was noted by people from Yorbuild Framework and I was told to take photos and record that we supported the event as it is a framework requirement that contractors do so.

Mark Scott also attended and had the opportunity to do some networking with exhibitors. No debt this activity will bring new contacts in and reinforce existing partnerships.

I spent all day with my group of kids and was asked to visit schools in Sheffield to speak to children about the importance of education and explain how the knowledge in certain subjects can be used later in the workplace (maths in engineering).

I think the event was a massive success and I throughly enjoyed my
part in it. I genuinely think that Pacy&Wheatley has a great chance to raise the profile of the company even further if we attend/support more of these events. It is a relatively inexpensive way to put the company on the social media/online map as the event has large media coverage.

The fact the I was approached by people who'd expressed their pleasure in seeing the Pacy&Wheatley logo confirms the above.
