Healthcare Construction Experts Complete London Project

The Project

Pacy and Wheatley, experts in Healthcare Construction, are proud to have completed the Dartford, project in London. A remodelling project was a fast track scheme with five phases over a 25 week period, to include the formation of a new six bed resuscitation facility, major injuries, minor injuries, GP call centre, and remodelled reception and waiting areas. Liquid plastic roof coverings were also renewed over the department. This scheme was the first NHS “Unplanned Care” facility within the UK.
External works- including new gas, water and electric services, a new car park and sewer connections- have being successfully co-ordinated to ensure minimal disruption to the residents on the street.
Due to the plot being on a known bat passage the landscaping were designed to give consideration to the passing and potentially roosting animals. The end product is an attractive, well finished and beautifully landscaped building.

The Challenge

The project is on the main street in Dartford and is a Grade 2 listed building with some severe water damage to 3 rooms at the rear.
The site also has archaeological interests for the local area, so some activities require the presence of archaeologist to attend; we will see what they find.
The work can be challenging working on a Grade 2 listed building you can take 1 step forward and 2 steps back, But we are confined that we can restore the building to ensure that the building is fit for future generation.
